Tucker is a visual storyteller working in multiple mediums to tell visceral, intimate stories for online audiences.
He recently completed an internship with the multimedia department at NPR, where he was nominated as Senior Photo/Video Editor for Intern Edition, a thirty minute web video that features interns' documentary stories. Prior to that, he shot and produced over thirty videos for The Washington Post during a spring internship.
Tucker's work has been displayed in the Newseum Museum and has been recognized by College Photographer of the Year, FotoWeek DC and the National Press Photographers Foundation.
He is a contributing editor for The Digital Naturalist, a blog dedicated to promoting and improving digital storytelling for NGO's and advocacy groups.
Last fall, Tucker studied photography at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies. He is currently an undergraduate photojournalism student at the Corcoran College of Art & Design.

Tucker was a fall intern at MediaStorm in 2011. Here is what he had to say about that experience:
My time at MediaStorm was invaluable in my growth as a filmmaker. The two major skillsets I learned were the art of storytelling and the foundations of editing. The team at MediaStorm has honed their craft for decades now, and they presented their beliefs, philosophies and workflows in a way that has stayed with me to this very day. While MediaStorm is an immensely creative company, they also are extremely systematic and organized in their process, including everything from how they conduct business to how they tell stories. Seeing this balance between organization vs creativity was an art form in itself.
After MediaStorm, I finished my final semester at the Corcoran College of Art + Design studying photojournalism. After graduating, I was hired by a production company called m ss ng p eces based in Brooklyn, where I’ve been directing short form documentaries and branded content for non-profits and commercial clients. Over the past six years I’ve been with MP, the company has gone from a few people in a small apartment to a powerhouse new wave production and entertainment partner recognized as one of AdAge/Creativity’s A-List production companies for the past three years. In 2018, I was grateful to have directed a project about the opioid crisis for the National Safety Council that collected over 80+ awards including six Cannes Lions, two AICP Next Awards, four D&AD Pencils, and eight Cubes at the ADC Awards. This past year, I directed another film about the opioid crisis for the Truth Initiative, which recently won a daytime Emmy Award.
I’m currently living in Maine and beginning research and development on my first feature-length documentary about connection and community in the age of disconnection. Stay tuned!
