Jarrod Watt is a multi-platform editor for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), leading teams of cross-media reporters and ABC Open producers in supplying stories and content to ABC Local websites, radio and TV as well as engaging regional and rural communities in digital storytelling projects.
After spending much of the 1990s working for newspapers, magazines and public radio, in 2002 he moved to the remote mining town of Kalgoorlie as one of the ABC's first radio-online program makers, covering everything from the development of Indigenous dictionaries to underground safety competitions and outback rodeos.
He has since moved to Ballarat, working as a cross-media reporter and radio producer, as well as the online producer for Heywire, the national youth storytelling project.
