The 2014 ICP Infinity Awardee Films By MediaStorm

MediaStorm is pleased to present a film series produced in collaboration with the International Center of Photography with support from the Harbers Family Foundation. Since 1985 ICP’s Infinity Awards have brought attention to outstanding achievements in photography by honoring individuals with distinguished careers in the field and identifying future luminaries. The 2014 Infinity Awards films serve as a portrait of some of the important contributors to photography today. Photojournalism: Stephanie Sinclair & Jessica Dimmock Too Young to Wed, a transmedia campaign using images by Stephanie Sinclair and videos by Jessica Dimmock, works to support girls who are already married and ultimately bring an end to child marriage. Beginning Sunday, April 27th, 2014, UnionDocs will present a nuts-and-bolts professional development series designed for the beginning or intermediate documentary filmmaker. Documentary Fundamentals @ UnionDocs is a six-week course culminating in a certificate of completion. Registrants can also attend individual sessions. Series passes are available now in limited supply at the discounted price of $125 on UnionDocs.org.

Join Brian Storm at Imprimatur: Unbinding the Book

Imprimatur, a joint effort between indie publishing platform Blurb and the visual arts studio Jotta, is a new global book arts project. Artists and designers are challenged to redefine the concept of what a book can be by creating original books and installations that push the boundaries of how books are experienced. Blurb will be hosting a launch event for the project in New York City on Monday, April 21st, 2014. On Tuesday, April 1st, 2014 the W. Euguene Smith Memorial Fund will host At the Top of the World: Photography Today with Kira Pollack in Conversation with Jonathan D. Woods at Aperture Gallery and Bookstore at 6:30 p.m.

A $5 donation is requested for entry. This event is free for students with I.D. and Members of Aperture at the $50 level and above.
