I’ve been making movies for a while now. Along the way I’ve seen some things: An $800 wireless mic destroyed in a sword fight Horribly early mornings Relentless traffic No vegetarian options except fried cheese, four days in a row Self-doubt Lawyers and threats of suits Layovers and missed flights Sickness, not limited to: colds, the flu, vomiting and food poison Exhaustion Yelling and screaming and hurt feelings I say this not because I believe myself to be some kind of martyr. I am certainly not. For the most part, I sit at a desk these days, going home each night to my wife and dogs. Others have given far more. The Multimedia Photography & Design Department at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications seeks an accomplished human-centered design professional to be an innovator in their program. Review of applications will begin on January 12th, 2015 and continue until the position is filled. Description This position requires design practitioner with a strong professional grounding in design across platforms, including print, web and mobile. The designer also would be knowledgeable about UI/UX and comfortable leading students in future applications of design. The ideal candidate would be capable of teaching at levels ranging from beginning graphic design to advanced design courses. The successful candidate should be prepared to teach undergraduate and graduate students, while contributing to collaborative projects of local, national and global significance. We are looking for a highly motivated motion designer to collaborate with our motion graphics and design team on projects for MediaStorm’s clients, workshops and publication. The ideal candidate will be able to assist in conceptualizing and executing stand-alone motion graphics, as well as graphics packages that integrate into multimedia projects. The Motion Design Intern will assist in creating animation assets, design and animate motion graphics as well as work with lead designers and producers to create production timelines. ‘Hungry Horse’ Is an Offical Selection of the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival

We are pleased to announce that Hungry Horse: Legends of the Everyday has been chosen as an official selection of the 2015 Big Sky Documentary Film Festival. The film series and photography project, created by internationally acclaimed photographer Pieter ten Hoopen in collaboration with MediaStorm, is based on over ten years of work in and around the small Montana town of Hungry Horse, and was made possible in part by the MediaStorm community's amazing show of support on Kickstarter.
