Images in the gallery represent photographers from all around the world, covering stories from Afghanistan and Iraq to x-rays of weapons of destruction, to polar bears along the Arctic Ice Edge.

Launched June 10, 2007, this community upload website showcases all sorts of multimedia stories, from documentaries to animation. Members each get profiles, and can discuss videos and contact other members. Vince Diga, Shinji Kuwayama, and Jody Sugrue are behind the site- they're still developing the community, so check back for new features as it grows.

Operation Azra Exhibit and Online Print Auction

Renowned photojournalists from around the world, from prestigious publications such as National Geographic, VII, Time, Newsweek and the New York Times, are donating signed, museum-quality prints to Operation Azra, an exhibition and online print auction to benefit victims of acid burning in Pakistan. Proceeds from the auction will go to support female victims of this terribly violent act and to raise awareness about a fate inflicted on many women in Pakistan. Marked with dishonor and often excluded by family, their disfigurment often forces them to the edges of society. Bidding via the online auction opens midnight EDT June 6, 2007 and closes midnight EDT July 1, 2007. Magnum Festival

Magnum Photos is hosting the month-long Magnum Festival in NYC to celebrate their 60th Anniversary. Throughout June, they have partnered with several museums and theatres to show over 30 photo exhibits and over 40 documentary film screenings. There will also be panel discussions, book signings, portfolio reviews, and gatherings. Coming up this weekend: several members of Magnum will be discussing the Future of Photojournalism, at the Walter Reade Theatre, Sunday June 3, 2pm.
