Multimedia Producer - Full Time The Day, Eastern Connecticut’s leading newspaper, seeks an experienced, creative, and self-motivated Multimedia Producer to provide content generation and production support for their rapidly-evolving web presence. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to produce strong multimedia content for their web site working with content provided by their award-winning staff of photographers and writers. The Multimedia Producer will be responsible for working with field journalists to plan audio, video and photography content as well as help brainstorm ideas for content and train members of the staff to assist in the production of multimedia content. LA Times Staffers Win Pulitzer for ‘Altered Oceans’ Multimedia Series

Kenneth R. Weiss, Usha Lee McFarling and Rick Loomis of the Los Angeles Times have been awarded a Pulitzer Prize for Explantory Reporting for their print and online multimedia series Altered Oceans. The description of the award on the Pulizer site notes that the team was recognized for their "richly portrayed reports on the world's distressed oceans, telling the story in print and online, and stirring reaction among readers and officials."
