  • Post author:

Thank you to everyone who pledged support for MediaStorm’s Kickstarter campaign for Fight Hate with Love! Your support allows us to begin the next phase of post-production. It allows us to take this film from rough cut to fine cut, and we are so grateful for your support and your belief in us. United in the Fight: Films for World AIDS Day

  • Post author:

Thirty years after the first cases of HIV, the World Health Organization estimates 35 million people worldwide are currently living with HIV/AIDS. Of these, 3.2 million are children under the age of 15. Today we commemorate World AIDS Day by remembering those who have succumbed to the virus and supporting our amazing collaborators working to treat and prevent this destructive disease. AIDS and Family is Kristen Ashburn's intimate portrait of African mothers, fathers and children being crushed by AIDS. Ashburn's work connects us to these people deeply; we learn that only through such connection is hope possible. GAIA takes the medical breakthroughs of the developed world and brings them to The Far End of the Road. Their focus is one district in Malawi where 1 out of 6 adults are HIV-positive and healthcare can be hours away. 24,000 children under the age of five will die today, many from preventable diseases. In 2009, Save the…

Remembering Our Veterans: Stories of Service by MediaStorm

  • Post author:

MediaStorm is committed to developing in-depth, quality stories on the most important issues of our time, and perhaps none has touched us as deeply as those of our country’s veterans. In the last ten years, we have developed four films on veterans that explore loss, grief, hope, and the possibility of change. We believe that storytelling replaces anonymity and silence with empathy and information. Stories of veterans and their families give people insight into both what their lives look like outside of their services; and how service has impacted their lives. We hope that our stories help audiences think critically and compassionately about what it means to send our young men and women to war. We are so grateful to every veteran who has shared his or her story with us and we hope that telling your stories has been healing and helpful in some way. We celebrate the innovations of returning…
