LOOK3’s 2016 schedule has been announced and it’s going to be another great year. We’re honored to participate: EDU Seminar Day 1: Where Creativity Meets Technology: Scheduled for Wednesday, June 15, this seminar’s goal is to “provide a survey of contemporary technology, social media, publishing, sharing and delivery platforms that are essential tools for artists to create, collaborate produce and share their work”. Make sure to check out MediaStorm’s very own Brian Storm present on our storytelling approach. Now Hiring: Operations & Social Media Manager at MediaStorm

MediaStorm is looking for an organized and motivated Operations & Social Media Manager to oversee communications and keep productions running smoothly. The ideal candidate will be an adept communicator, have some experience with multimedia, and be eager and interested in taking ownership of projects and supporting a growing multimedia production studio.

MediaStorm’s 2015 Year in Review

2015 was an important milestone in MediaStorm’s history. With the support of our entire community, we were able to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. It’s been a decade since we created our first story, and we’ve continued to push the art and form of storytelling in myriad ways. Here’s are some of the highlights from 2015: We were honored to be nominated for two Emmys for our collaboration with Pieter ten Hoopen on Hungry Horse and with Shiho Fukada on Japan’s Disposable Workers. Travel Anonymous took us inside Jeff Hutchen’s life on the road. A stunning combination of Jeff’s photography and MediaStorm motion graphics, Travel Anonymous is a unique addition to the MediaStorm Publication. For the third year in a row, we partnered with our friends at the International Center of Photography and Harbers Studio to produce films to honor the legacies of the 2015 winners of the Infinity Awards. MediaStorm’s Fight Hate with Love Reaches Kickstarter Goal!

Thank you to everyone who pledged support for MediaStorm’s Kickstarter campaign for Fight Hate with Love! Your support allows us to begin the next phase of post-production. It allows us to take this film from rough cut to fine cut, and we are so grateful for your support and your belief in us. This has been such an important month for us at MediaStorm and we owe it all to you, our fans and supporters. A decade of storytelling has led us to this moment - the creation of our first original film, Fight Hate with Love. We are eager to get back to work, finish what we started over a year ago, and give you the opportunity to watch the story of one family trying to come together and heal itself from the traumas and scars of incarceration. We’d like to give a very special shout-out to Howard and Sheri Schultz…

June 2014 MediaStorm Methodology Workshop Staff & Participants

2016 marks our ninth training year at MediaStorm. Each year our workshops attract leading industry professionals looking to advance their multimedia and storytelling skills. Over 250 participants have come through our professional workshops and we continue to be humbled by how much they take away from the experience.

Meredith Hogan, Senior Multimedia Editor at NBCNews.com, told us that our Methodology Workshop was “a creativity adrenaline shot for doing storytelling at the highest level and for the right reasons.”

In 2016 we’ll be offering two Methodology workshops as well as five One-Day workshops in Brooklyn, NY. We are looking forward to another exciting, innovative and challenging training year. We hope you’ll be able to join us.
