For those in New York City, there will be a special showing at 7:30 this evening at The Bubble Lounge of the extended 18-minute version of the film Never Coming Home. An updated version of the project is also now available on MediaStorm. Tonight also marks the launch of the book version of the project from photojournalist Andrew Lichtenstein. Originally published on MediaStorm in 2005, Never Coming Home, by Lichtenstein and audio producer Zac Barr, has been expanded to include never-seen-before stories from several other American families who lost loved ones in Iraq. I'm excited to welcome Greg Harris as MediaStorm's Creative Director. Prior to MediaStorm, Harris was creative director of publishing products for Brightcove and has been designing interactive experiences for more than 15 years. Harris is also a a co-founder of MetaStories, an online publishing tool, that was acquired by Brightcove in 2006. Before MetaStories Greg served as Creative Director for the Seattle office of Circle.com an interactive agency founded by Roger Black. Harris also served as Design Director for MSNBC.com where he and his team were responsible for the design and user experience for the site.

I'm excited to welcome Diane Cook as a Multimedia Producer at MediaStorm. Diane was a producer for public radio's This American Life for the past five years, where she worked on the radio and TV show, and also produced their series of Greatest Hits CDs. The show has won the Peabody, Murrow and duPont awards for its radio reporting, and received Emmy nominations for its TV program.
