MediaStorm Presents the 2015 ICP Infinity Awardee Films

MediaStorm is pleased to present a film series produced in collaboration with the International Center of Photography with support from Harbers Studios. Since 1985 ICP’s Infinity Awards have brought attention to outstanding achievements in photography by honoring individuals with distinguished careers in the field and identifying future luminaries. The 2015 Infinity Awards films serve as a portrait of some of the important contributors to photography today.  Photojournalism: Tomas van Houtryve Tomas van Houtryve wants there to be a permanent visual record of the dawn of the drone age, the period in American history when America started outsourcing their military to flying robots. In order to create this record, Van Houtryve sent his own drone into American skies. Young Photographer: Evgenia Arbugaeva Evgenia Arbugaeva was born in the magical town of Tiksi, Russia. Kalish Workshop 2015 Dates Announced

The Kalish Workshop will be holding its next workshop June 12-17, 2015 in Rochester, New York.

This five-day storytelling workshop is taught by Emmy and Pulitzer Prize winning editors. Application deadline is April 1st.

Open Call: Artwork Submissions for Nomadique Exhibition

Nomadique is seeking submissions for their upcoming multimedia art exhibition, inviting artists to reflect on the sensation of belonging. The pop-up show will be held in New York City in mid-April and will feature live performances, film screenings, and a gallery display. Submitted works may reflect on the following questions: To what do we belong and why? How does an anxiety of belonging impact our development and behavior? How does belonging affect our sense of purpose? Does belonging necessitate exclusion by nature? You’re Invited: World Press Photo Multimedia Exhibit

The winners of the 2014 World Press Photo Multimedia Contest will be exhibited in New York on December 12th - 19th, 2014 and January 19th - February 6th, 2015. The nine awarded productions will be shown in the brand new exhibition space of the Brown Institute for Media Innovation at Columbia University. You are cordially invited to the opening on December 11th. Doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and the official opening starts at 7:30 p.m. with contest winners and jury members presenting developments in the field of multimedia.
