MediaStorm is launching a series of Advanced Multimedia Workshops. The Workshops are intense, hands-on, educational experiences designed to address advanced original multimedia reporting and post-production. There are three unique Workshop options: Advanced Multimedia Reporting Workshop in New York City Work with a team (reporter, editor and producer) to create an original multimedia piece in New York City. * Workshop One: March 29th-April 5th, 2008 * Workshop Two: April 19th-26th, 2008 * Workshop Three: May 3rd-May 10th, 2008 The application deadline is March 3, 2008. American Diversity Project now accepting Applications

The application for the 2008 American Diversity Project is now online at www.americandiversityproject.org This year's workshop will take place in Pikeville, Ky from May 12-17. The application due date is February 15th, and participants will be announced around the 1st of March. The American Diversity Project selects 12 documentary photographers each year to come together and produce a "visual, audible, and interactive history of one of the many small and colorful towns that are scattered through out the country."

Foundry Photo Workshop- Registration Open

The Foundry Photo Workshop for Emerging Photojournalists is being held June 16 - 21, 2008 in Mexico City. Its six intensive days of classes, fieldwork, panel discussions, slideshows, portfolio reviews, multimedia creation, parties, networking and more. This workshop is geared specifically for students and others who normally couldn't afford such instruction from such accomplished photographers; it is completely non profit, and all instructors are volunteering their time and talents to teach the workshop. NPPA NewsVideo Workshop

Registration is now being accepted for the 2008 NPPA NewsVideo Workshop. The Workshop will be held March 16-21, 2008, in Norman, OK. This workshop is designed for all levels of video journalists, including editors, reporters, and producers interested in video storytelling. Participants can register to Shoot and Edit (limited to 60 people), as a Participant (no shooting or editing), or as a Student (full-time students only). There is also a special two-day Hands on Non-Linear session, limited to the first 40 participants to sign up. Deadline for Shoot and Edit is January 24, 2008. For Participants and Students, deadline is March 1, 2008.
