As time passed, caring for their parents brought them through a process of self discovery that taught them as much about themselves as the loved ones for which they were caring.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, both Phillip and Maggie were left with bodies of work which relate not only their personal journeys, but speak to universal themes of love, life and family. MediaStorm is proud to have partnered with both Phillip and Maggie to tell their individual stories.<\/p>\n<p>On June 11 MediaStorm will present both films for the first time. After the screening Phillip and Maggie will be available for a question and answer session about their experiences.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mediastorm-two-premieres.eventbrite.com\/\"><strong>RSVP to the event here.<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>A Shadow Remains by Phillip Toledano<\/h2>\n<p><script id=\"mediastorm-player-e4fbd56d79d513396271\" src=\"http:\/\/player.mediastorm.com\/players\/embed?id=e4fbd56d79d513396271&#038;w=510&#038;h=309\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Phillip Toledano is an artist. His life has been marked by the passing of family. Each death diverting the river slightly. <em>A Shadow Remains<\/em> brings us through Toledano\u2019s life as he considers the impact that love and loss have had on his life and the life of his family. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m so clearly conscious of everything that they gave me now,\u201d says Phillip. \u201cNow that they&#8217;re gone their shadow remains and I see what a strong and lengthy shadow that is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mediastorm-two-premieres.eventbrite.com\/\"><strong>RSVP to the event here.<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Rite of Passage by Maggie Steber<\/h2>\n<p><script id=\"mediastorm-player-e4fbd5f0bec420703581\" src=\"http:\/\/player.mediastorm.com\/players\/embed?id=e4fbd5f0bec420703581&#038;w=510&#038;h=309\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>When Madje\u2019s dementia proved relentless, her daughter, photographer Maggie Steber, moved her life to care for her. Among the darkness, Maggie documented the beauty of a liberation from the roles she and her mother had learned to play\u2014a discovery she felt gave her the mother she always wanted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis body of work is the most important one I have ever done,\u201d says Maggie, \u201cand will ever do.
