It is a story told by the young women who refused to be silenced by shame, fear, and violence. Emmy-nominated photojournalist Mimi Chakarova, who grew up in Bulgaria, takes us on a personal journey \u2013exposing the shadowy world of sex trafficking from Eastern Europe to the Middle East and Western Europe. Filming undercover and gaining extraordinary access, Chakarova illuminates how even though some women escape to tell their stories, sex trafficking thrives.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\nThe film is showing on:<br \/>\nFriday June 24, 9:30 pm<br \/>\nSaturday June 25, 3:30 pm<br \/>\nSunday June 26, 1:30 pm<\/p>\n<p>At the Film Society of Lincoln Center Water Reade Theater<br \/>\n165 West 65th Street, upper level (Between Broadway and Amsterdam)<\/p>\n<p>The Human Rights Watch International Film Festival runs from June 16-30 in New York, and features 18 films from 12 countries.
