{"id":22653,"date":"2024-12-09T13:41:58","date_gmt":"2024-12-09T18:41:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mediastorm.com\/blog\/?p=22653"},"modified":"2024-12-09T14:11:36","modified_gmt":"2024-12-09T19:11:36","slug":"ny-times-features-catherine-russell-subject-of-mediastorm-film","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mediastorm.com\/blog\/2024\/12\/09\/ny-times-features-catherine-russell-subject-of-mediastorm-film\/","title":{"rendered":"NY Times features Catherine Russell, subject of MediaStorm film"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nytimes.com\">The New York Times<\/a> has published a feature story about stage actress Catherine Russell, who was the subject of a film produced during a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediastorm.com\/training\/workshops\/mediastorm-storytelling-workshop\">MediaStorm Storytelling Workshop<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Times story, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/12\/07\/nyregion\/catherine-russell-perfect-crime.html\">How Catherine Russell, of \u2018Perfect Crime,\u2019 Spends Her Sundays<\/a>, recounts how Russell hasn&#8217;t missed a performance of her off-Broadway show in 37 years.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012, Russell was the subject of the film <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediastorm.com\/training\/workshops\/mediastorm-storytelling-workshop\/new-york\/a-hundred-different-ways\">A Hundred Different Ways<\/a><\/em>, which was produced during a MediaStorm Storytelling Workshop.<\/p>\n<p>In the film, Russell recounts how in her 25 years playing Margaret Thorne Brent in the play <a href=\"https:\/\/www.perfect-crime.com\/\">Perfect Crime<\/a>, she had only missed four performances.<\/p>\n<p>She hasn&#8217;t missed another since then, according to the Times story. <\/p>\n<p>Russell is now celebrating 15,000 performances of Perfect Crime, which premiered in 1987 and is New York City\u2019s longest-running play. <\/p>\n<p>Patrick Robustelli, Russell&#8217;s husband, was also featured in MediaStorm&#8217;s film.
