This is actually Greg&#8217;s second tour with us. Greg and I have a long history.\u00a0He was at MediaStorm in 2007 as our first Creative Director. We worked together at Microsoft\/MSNBC in the 90&#8217;s as well as through various collaborations with MetaStories, Brightcove and Daily Interactive Networks with the visonary Brian Monnin. Greg is a rare talent and a terrific person. He will be leading our efforts in interactive storytelling and the redesign of our offerings across all channels. I can\u2019t think of a better partner for us to have as we move to next phase of MediaStorm. Welcome aboard (again) Greg!<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>On joining the team Greg says:<\/p>\n<p>MediaStorm has assembled an amazing team of very talented people and I\u2019m very excited to be working with team again. I\u2019m looking forward to contributing the design and production of stories and projects that inspire, influence and change the lives of people around the world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-21459\" src=\"https:\/\/mediastorm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/greg-harris-195x245.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"195\" height=\"245\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<div>Greg Harris is MediaStorm\u2019s Creative Director. He is a design innovator and industry leader. He has been at the forefront of blending technology with design to produce compelling, easy-to-use interactive content for almost two decades.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Prior to MediaStorm, Greg worked as Sr. Creative Director for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.howstuffworks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HowStuffWorks.com\u00a0<\/a>and InfoSpace where he oversaw all aspects of design and user experience. Before joining HowStuffWorks.com he worked as a Sr. Product Manager for OnCue, an OTT television product created by Intel. Prior to working at Intel, he was the Chief Creative Officer of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailyinteractive.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Interactive Networks<\/a>, a company dedicated to making it easy to create mobile apps &amp; HTML 5 experiences.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Greg was Creative Director for National Geographic Society where he oversaw the complete redesign of the National Geographic digital properties winning all major magazine design awards in 2010 and 2011. In 2012 Greg designed the Webby Award winning National Geographic\u2019s 50 Greatest Photos iPad app. Prior to joining National Geographic he was Director of Design for Brightcove Publishing Products &amp; he co-founded MetaStories in 2000 as VP User Experience.<\/div>\n<div>Greg worked at Microsoft from 1995-97, where he was an Interactive Designer for MSN 1.0 and Art Director in the Interactive Art Department \u2014 a \u201chit team\u201d of multimedia developers, designers and animators supporting numerous products.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>From 1997-99 Greg worked at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MSNBC.com<\/a>, first as Art Director for News and Sports and then Design Director, responsible for the design vision for the entire site. He left Microsoft in 1999 to become creative director in the Seattle office of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/circle.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Circle\u00a0<\/a>where he continued to work on MSNBC as the lead design consultant and oversaw work for Onvia and Discovery Channel.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Prior to joining Microsoft, Greg produced award-winning information design \u2014 charts, graphs, illustrations and page designs \u2014 for a series of Pacific Northwest daily newspapers. Greg lives in Gig Harbor, WA with his wife Teri, his daughter Lily and their Bernese Mountain dogs Harlie and Oswald.
