This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to take a year off from his\/her job to have a close-up view of Iowa, devote time for a long project, or transition into university teaching.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>First-round candidates will be identified by May 4th, 2015. Ideally, the successful candidate will teach this course in a way that is relevant for the digital age. Applicants may have expertise in any number of news beats.\u00a0However, the school has a particular interest in candidates who have significant experience with political reporting and\/or technology reporting. Political reporters may have an opportunity to help teach Iowa caucus-related courses.\u00a0Technology reporters may have an opportunity to develop capstone reporting and writing courses in this area.<\/p>\n<p>A B.A. or B.S. degree is required. Significant professional experience also is required.
