Final deadline is <strong>March 30th, 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Deadline for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uniondocs.org\/colab\/\" target=\"_blank\">UnionDocs Collaborative Studio (CoLAB)<\/a>, a 10 month program for media artists, is <strong>April 3rd, 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Documentary Intensive<\/h2>\n<p>The UnionDocs Summer Intensive is a 5-week program for a select group of emerging filmmakers from the US and abroad. Based in one of NYC\u2019s most exciting neighborhoods, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the program explores contemporary approaches to documentary film, offers a stronger understanding of the best practices and business of production, and helps to develop the foundation of your independent project.<\/p>\n<p>The program consists of screenings, seminar discussions, production instruction, professional development sessions, critique, mentorship, many guest artist master classes, and weekly visits to relevant sites around New York City. The Summer Intensive exposes participants to a diverse set of creative documentary practices from around the world, encouraging experimentation and discovery.<\/p>\n<p>Previous work in documentary is not required, but a demonstrated commitment to independent creative work is necessary.
