To read more about why we made the switch, check out <a href=\"http:\/\/mediastorm.com\/blog\/2012\/10\/19\/why-im-switching-to-abobe-premiere-not-final-cut-x\/\" target=\"_blank\">this post<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>In earlier versions of Premiere Pro, it was necessary to put media onto a timeline before exporting.<\/p>\n<p>The latest update to the program, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/products\/premiere.html\">Premiere Pro 2014<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=mediastorm01-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B00CS75YKE\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/>, changes this, making it easy to export any asset or even an entire sequence straight from the <strong>Project<\/strong> window.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>Project<\/strong> window, simply select a clip or sequence. Then, <strong>right-click<\/strong> and choose <strong>Export Media\u2026<\/strong> at the bottom of the menu.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18345 aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/MediaStormGuidetoExportingfromthePremiereProProjectWindow-e1410292592106.jpg\" width=\"216\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->In the resulting <strong>Export Settings<\/strong> window you\u2019ll have the option to select your export setting and the length of the file\/sequence, just as you would from the timeline using the <strong>File &gt; Export &gt; Media\u2026<\/strong> menu <strong>(Command-M)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Note that if you select more than one item, you\u2019ll need to select the <strong>Queue<\/strong> button which will send your files to Media Encoder.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18346\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/MediaStormGuidetoExportingfromthePremiereProProjectWindow2-e1409847268977.jpg\" width=\"512\" height=\"488\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting that when you export a clip or group of clips, the Export Settings window does not contain a <strong>Match Sequence Settings<\/strong> button.
