This event will be designed in collaboration with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/creative-capital.org\/pdp\" target=\"_blank\">Creative Capital\u2019s Professional Development Program<\/a>. Attendees will become part of a larger Audience Engagement Grant cohort, with opportunities to connect both during the conference and after.<\/li>\n<li><em>Track Two: Project Implementation<\/em> &#8211;\u00a0Grantees will receive funding to execute (or continue executing) their projects as well as attend December\u2019s retreat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Eligibility<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Documentary photographers, photo-based artists, and socially\u00a0engaged practitioners who use their work to move target audiences beyond the act of looking, to directly participate in activities or processes that lead to change around an issue.<\/li>\n<li>Individuals who establish meaningful partnerships with others committed to realizing change and who bring a complementary set of skills and expertise.<\/li>\n<li>Projects that use photography or photo-based art creatively and innovatively to reach a project\u2019s unique audience.<\/li>\n<li>Projects with goals that are ambitious, yet realistic and achievable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Apply<\/h2>\n<p>Submit your applications online at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/osf.submittable.com\/submit\" target=\"_blank\">osf.submittable.com\/submit<\/a>.\u00a0If you have questions about which track you should apply for, or if your project is eligible, contact Anna Overstrom-Coleman at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:anna.overstrom-coleman@opensocietyfoundations.org\" target=\"_blank\">anna.overstrom-coleman@opensocietyfoundations.org<\/a>\u00a0(include the subject line: \u201cAudience Engagement Grant\u201d).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Open Society Documentary Photography Project is soliciting calls for the 2014 Audience Engagement Grant Program, a funding opportunity for photographers documenting a human rights or social justice issue to enact change.\u00a0Deadline to apply is July 8th, 2014.
