The position is based in Washington, DC.<\/p>\n<h2>Summary<\/h2>\n<p>The Information Graphic Designer will help design and produce graphics and data visualizations to be used in web and interactive projects for the Council&#8217;s website. Responsibilities will include: creating graphic visualizations for online editorial publications, including backgrounders, timelines, maps, and slideshows; adding graphics to the InfoGuide series; working with the CFR.org multimedia team to establish production timelines; and translating complex concepts and data on foreign policy issues into visual images.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Graphic Design or related field<\/li>\n<li>2+ years of web design and development experience<\/li>\n<li>A strong portfolio of past work that is easily viewable online<\/li>\n<li>Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)<\/li>\n<li>Strong design skills and good grasp of visual hierarchy<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of mobile user interface, image optimization, and website constraints including download times, browser differences and web-safe palettes; experience working with HTML and CSS<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to juggle multiple tasks within tight deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Self-starting, results oriented attitude and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of U.S. foreign policy issues a plus<\/li>\n<li>A passion for design and a strong visual style<\/li>\n<li>Experience designing across multiple media (broadcast, print, online and mobile) is a strong plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to Apply<\/h2>\n<p>Qualified candidates should email, fax, or mail a resume and cover letter to the human resources department.
