To read more about why we made the switch, check out <a href=\"http:\/\/mediastorm.com\/blog\/2012\/10\/19\/why-im-switching-to-abobe-premiere-not-final-cut-x\/\" target=\"_blank\">this post<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><!-- MediaStorm Player Embed Code --><script id=\"mediastorm-player-e527004e0eaf04755568\" type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/player.mediastorm.com\/players\/embed?id=e527004e0eaf04755568&amp;w=512&amp;h=395&amp;lang=none\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Recently, while importing Canon C300 footage into Premiere Pro CC, I realized that many of the longer clips were being duplicated on ingest.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, I\u2019d have three of the same files, the only difference was their last two digits.<\/p>\n<p>This happened both when I used <strong>File &gt; Import<\/strong> and when I <strong>double-clicked<\/strong> the <strong>Project<\/strong> window.<\/p>\n<p>The trick, I discovered, is to import via the <strong>Media Browser<\/strong>. Select your file, right-click, and choose <strong>Import<\/strong>.
