One out of every three will be lured into prostitution within <a href=\"http:\/\/www.courtneyshouse.org\/the-facts.html\" target=\"_blank\">48 hours<\/a> of leaving home.<\/p>\n<p>Set in Seattle, Washington, <a href=\"http:\/\/mediastorm.com\/publication\/the-long-night\" target=\"_blank\"><em>The Long Night<\/em><\/a>, by <a href=\"http:\/\/mediastorm.com\/contributor\/tim-matsui\/86\" target=\"_blank\">Tim Matsui<\/a> and MediaStorm, gives voice and meaning to the crisis of minors who are forced and coerced into the American sex trade. The film weaves together the stories of those whose lives have been forever changed by this issue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve never seen more vulnerable, more open people,\u201d said editor and producer <a href=\"http:\/\/mediastorm.com\/contributor\/tim-mclaughlin\/88\" target=\"_blank\">Tim McLaughlin<\/a>. \u201cThey\u2019ve managed to articulate this situation in ways that are so human and so open. We didn\u2019t intend to make a feature film, but the issues, the moments, and the importance of what Matsui captured warranted it. It\u2019s not an issue-based story. It\u2019s the human experience of this issue.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><em>The Long Night<\/em>\u00a0was made possible by the generous support of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alexiafoundation.org\" target=\"_blank\">Alexia Foundation<\/a> and the organization&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alexiafoundation.org\/blog\/2012\/08\/30\/announcing-the-first-alexia-foundation-womens-initiative-grant-winner\/\" target=\"_blank\">Women Initiative grant<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Making this film has been a really important part of MediaStorm&#8217;s evolution,&#8221; said <a href=\"http:\/\/mediastorm.com\/contributor\/brian-storm\/8\" target=\"_blank\">Brian Storm<\/a>, Executive Producer and Founder of MediaStorm. &#8220;Not only is it our first feature-length film, it&#8217;s a film that we&#8217;ve created with great partners &#8211; Tim Matsui and the Alexia Foundation.
