A great new feature in Adobe Premiere Pro CC<\/a> is the ability to nudge clips up and down tracks using only the keyboard.<\/p>\n

To set a shortcut, simply open the Premiere Pro > Keyboard Shortcuts…<\/strong> menu. Then, search for \u201cclip.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll want to add shortcuts for Nudge Clip Selection Up<\/strong> and Nudge Clip Selection Down<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We use Command-Up Arrow<\/strong> and Command-Down Arrow<\/strong>, respectively since they are similar to the default shortcuts for nudging clips left (Command-Left Arrow<\/strong>) and right (Command-Left Arrow<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

To nudge your clip, simply select it on the timeline and press the respective keyboard shortcut. <\/p>\n

Note that audio on Channel 1 can not be nudged up, nor can video on Channel 1 be nudged down. <\/p>\n

As an added benefit, nudging a clip upwards can also be used to create new tracks. <\/p>\n

Adobe Premiere Pro CC<\/a> will be available in June. <\/p>\n
