The internship generally runs from May to August, but start dates are flexible. We&#8217;re looking for applicants with experience in multimedia production, design, motion graphics, and\/or web development. Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions we get from applicants.<\/p>\n<h4>What will I be doing as a Mediastorm intern?<\/h4>\n<p>This is a production internship. You will be working closely with the <a href=\"http:\/\/mediastorm.com\/contributors\/mediastorm-staff\" target=\"_blank\">MediaStorm team<\/a> to produce multimedia projects. This means full days in front of Final Cut, doing picture research, organizing images, transcribing, or doing whatever else needs to be done to complete a project. You will most likely not be gathering content or taking pictures as part of the internship. <\/p>\n<p>We expect you to be proficient in an OSX operating environment and experience in Final Cut Pro and Aperture will help immensely. Our interns don&#8217;t do anything we don&#8217;t do ourselves\u2014if you&#8217;re a coffee drinker, we&#8217;d love for you to grab us a cup if you run out, but we&#8217;ll return the favor another day, we promise.<\/p>\n<h4>What skills do I need for a successful internship?<\/h4>\n<p>In general, applicants should have familiarity with the following (or comparable) skills:<\/p>\n<p>Multimedia Producers: Final Cut Pro, SoundTrack Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Aperture<br \/>\nInteractive Designers: Photoshop\/Illustrator, HTML5\/CSS\/Javascript, Flash\/AS3, After Effects, Motion<br \/>\nDevelopers: HTML5\/CSS\/Javascript (including jQuery and Backbone.js), PHP (including CodeIgniter)<\/p>\n<h4>What are the hours like?<\/h4>\n<p>We&#8217;re pretty flexible\u2014a typical day is 10am-6pm, sometimes a little earlier, sometimes a little later. We work hard, but if you&#8217;re coming from out of town, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the city as well. Weekend work is rare (except during workshops).<\/p>\n<h4>Who will I be working with?<\/h4>\n<p>You&#8217;ll be working mostly with our producers, but depending on the internship, you may work with our interactive designers and developers. Either way, we&#8217;re a small team, so you&#8217;ll get to know the whole <a href=\"http:\/\/mediastorm.com\/contributors\/mediastorm-staff\" target=\"_blank\">staff<\/a>. <\/p>\n<h4>Who is this internship good for?<\/h4>\n<p>This is an advanced level internship.
