Knowing just a few shortcut keys makes the process much faster. <\/p>\n<p>As in Final Cut Pro, <strong>J<\/strong>, <strong>K<\/strong>, <strong>L<\/strong>, are your transport tools. <strong>J<\/strong> shuttles your timeline playhead backward. <strong>K<\/strong> is stop. And <strong>L<\/strong> is forward. <\/p>\n<p>To begin, place clips from a single day or scene onto one timeline. Add the suffix <strong>RAW<\/strong> to your sequence to indicate that the timeline contains all media from a particular day.<\/p>\n<p>Then, press the <strong>Spacebar<\/strong> or the <strong>L<\/strong> key to start playback. <\/p>\n<p>As the playhead moves forward continue to press the <strong>I<\/strong> key to update your in point. The in point will change each time you press <strong>I<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anrdoezrs.net\/click-6387448-10503029?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.adobe.com%2Fproducts%2Fcreativesuite%2Fproduction.html\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mediastorm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/1-Adobe-Premiere-Pro-CS61.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"1-Adobe Premiere Pro CS6\" width=\"308\" height=\"317\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12631\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mediastorm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/1-Adobe-Premiere-Pro-CS61.jpg 308w, https:\/\/www.mediastorm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/1-Adobe-Premiere-Pro-CS61-291x300.jpg 291w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 308px) 100vw, 308px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe theory here is that by updating the in point during playback, you avoid having to stop and re-find the location. You\u2019re already updating your selection as you go.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have the in point, continue to play the sequence, but now keep pressing <strong>O<\/strong> key to update your out point. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anrdoezrs.net\/click-6387448-10503029?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.adobe.com%2Fproducts%2Fcreativesuite%2Fproduction.html\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/mediastorm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/1-Adobe-Premiere-Pro-CS6-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"2-Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 2\" width=\"308\" height=\"317\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12630\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mediastorm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/1-Adobe-Premiere-Pro-CS6-2.jpg 308w, https:\/\/www.mediastorm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/1-Adobe-Premiere-Pro-CS6-2-291x300.jpg 291w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 308px) 100vw, 308px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWhen you reach your actual out point, press the <strong>Spacebar<\/strong> or <strong>K<\/strong> to stop.<\/p>\n<p>Still at your out point, use <strong>Shift-Command-K<\/strong> to cut through all tracks.<\/p>\n<p>To jump back to your in point use <strong>Shift-I<\/strong>.
