The project will be awarding one $20,000 grant for 2013 and naming four finalists. The work of the grant winner and finalists will be published in \u201cWar is Only Half the Story, Vol Seven.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>Apply for this years grant at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theaftermathproject.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.theaftermathproject.org\/<\/a>.<br \/>\nApplication deadline <strong>November 5, 2012<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Aftermath Project is a non-profit organization committed to telling the other half of the story of conflict \u2014 the story of what it takes for individuals to learn to live again, to rebuild destroyed lives and homes, to restore civil societies, to address the lingering wounds of war while struggling to create new avenues for peace. Grant proposals should reflect an understanding of this mission and may relate to the aftermath of numerous kinds of conflict, not just international wars.<\/p>\n<p>The project holds a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theaftermathproject.org\/grants.htm\" target=\"_blank\">yearly grant competition<\/a> open to working photographers worldwide covering the aftermath of conflict.
