New Duckrabbit Photofilm Workshops Announced

Two new dates have just been set for duckrabbit's three-day photofilm workshops: August 15th-17th (Central London) September 26th -28th (Birmingham) And there is one more place left on the July 11th – 13th course in Central London. The workshop is designed to provide participants with the practical knowledge needed to produce photofilms to a high standard. The workshop will take you through the entire photofilm production process – from identifying a suitable story, to planning the steps needed to gather the audio and pictures, all the way to final completion of a project. MediaStorm Advanced Multimedia Workshop accepting applications for July 17-23, 2010 Workshop

There are still a few spots open for our upcoming Advanced Multimedia Reporting Workshop, to be held in New York City July 17-23, 2010. Application deadline is May 16, 2010. This is a workshop for seasoned storytellers who have professional multimedia experience and are looking to further expand their multimedia storytelling capabilities. Applicants should have a working knowledge of audio recorders, video and still cameras and non-linear editing software. This is not an introductory workshop. Participants will be working at a fast-paced professional level, moving from story concept to a completed multimedia story in 6 days. MediaStorm Methodology Workshop to be held July 27-31, 2009

As we've traveled around the country and collaborated with many schools and newsrooms, it has become apparent that there is a strong desire and need for a forum focusing on the overall methodology behind creating and implementing a successful multimedia strategy. We have been working with educators and newsroom leaders to create a Workshop targeted specifically at educators looking to create curricula based on our approach, for organizational leaders tasked with creating and leading multimedia departments, and for professionals looking to start their own media company or integrate MediaStorm concepts into their organization. We will be holding the first MediaStorm Methodology Workshop July 27-31, 2009, at our offices in Brooklyn, NY. Dates for the 2009 MediaStorm Advanced Multimedia Reporting Workshops have been announced: Workshop Four: March 7-13, 2009 - Application Deadline: Friday January 23, 2009 Workshop Five: May 2-8, 2009 - Application Deadline: Monday March 30, 2009 Workshop Six: August 8-14, 2009 - Application Deadline: Wednesday July 1, 2009 The MediaStorm Multimedia Reporting Workshop in New York City is an intensive, hands-on educational experience in advanced multimedia storytelling. Over the course of a week, participants will work in three-person teams, reporting and editing in collaboration with a MediaStorm Producer to create a multimedia project for distribution across multiple platforms. MediaStorm is launching a series of Advanced Multimedia Workshops. The Workshops are intense, hands-on, educational experiences designed to address advanced original multimedia reporting and post-production.
