The Los Angeles Times is offering a 10-week paid summer internship in photojournalism. Interns will work side by side with photography / multimedia staff and editors. This is an advanced internship in which you will be working on multimedia stories and daily photojournalism for all sections of the newspaper including news, features and sports. Qualifications Applicants must be actively working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree. Graduates may be eligible if you’ve finished school within six months of the start of the internship. Internships are for students who have not worked professionally as staff photographers. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and access to a car in good working condition. MediaStorm Projects nominated for two Emmy Awards

Two MediaStorm produced projects are among the Nominees announced yesterday for the 29th Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards.     Crisis Guide: Darfur, produced for Council on Foreign Relations, was nominated in the New Approaches To News & Documentary Programming: Current News Coverage Category. The Darfur guide is the second in a series of interactive guides to the most complex issues and conflicts on the planet. The six-chapter project includes a multimedia narrative, interactive maps and timelines, and extensive information on the situation in Darfur.     The Marlboro Marine, produced with The Los Angeles Times, was nominated in the New Approaches To News & Documentary Programming: Documentaries Category. Los Angeles Times photojournalist Luis Sinco's photograph of Marine Lance Corporal James Blake Miller became an icon of the Iraq War.
