MediaStorm produces ‘Crisis Guide: Climate Change’ for Council on Foreign Relations

The Council on Foreign Relations and MediaStorm have collaborated to produce Crisis Guide: Climate Change. This new CFR.org Crisis Guide looks at the known effects of climate change, the diplomatic dilemmas, the relevant technologies and policy options, and the diverse perspectives on the problem. Crisis Guides, CFR.org’s interactive, award-winning franchise, seek to bring context and historical perspective to the world’s most complex issues. This is the fourth in a series of Crisis Guides. Crisis Guide: Darfur recently won an Emmy Award for Current News Coverage.

MediaStorm Projects nominated for two Emmy Awards

Two MediaStorm produced projects are among the Nominees announced yesterday for the 29th Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards. Crisis Guide: Darfur, produced for Council on Foreign Relations, was nominated in the New Approaches To News & Documentary Programming: Current News Coverage Category. The Darfur guide is the second in a series of interactive guides to the most complex issues and conflicts on the planet. The six-chapter project includes a multimedia narrative, interactive maps and timelines, and extensive information on the situation in Darfur. The Marlboro Marine, produced with The Los Angeles Times, was nominated in the New Approaches To News & Documentary Programming: Documentaries Category. Los Angeles Times photojournalist Luis Sinco's photograph of Marine Lance Corporal James Blake Miller became an icon of the Iraq War. MediaStorm produces ‘Crisis Guide: The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict’ for Council on Foreign Relations

The Council on Foreign Relations and MediaStorm have collaborated to produce a new online multimedia feature, Crisis Guide: The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. Using a comprehensive array of audio, video, imagery, and text, the guide offers an in-depth look at the history of the conflict and its geopolitical repercussions. Crisis Guide: The Israeli-Palestinian Authority was produced in consultation with experts at the Council on Foreign Relations, Arab and Israeli sources, as well as an array of independent scholars, former officials, diplomats, and experts on the region’s political and economic history. Crisis Guides, CFR.org’s interactive, award-winning franchise, seek to bring context and historical perspective to the world’s most complex issues. Produced with MediaStorm.org, the series also includes Crisis Guide: The Korean Peninsula, which looks at the standoff between the two Koreas, and Crisis Guide: Darfur, which looks at the tragedy in Sudan’s Darfur region. The next guide will tackle the issue of climate change.
