Job Alert: RIT Assistant Professor Position in Photojournalism Program

The School of Photographic Arts and Sciences at the Rochester Institute of Technology is now accepting applications for an Assistant Professor position in its Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Photojournalism program. This is a tenure track position. Application review begins December 1st, 2014 and continues until the position is filled. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach undergraduate photojournalism courses in interactive multimedia design with strong photojournalistic and visual narrative skills. Ideal candidates will be dedicated to scholarship and service, including student career advisement, and provide leadership and vision in the continued interdisciplinary vibrancy of the School’s BFA program, its students and curriculum. Fellowship Opportunity with the Stanford Storytelling Project

Stanford University is seeking a full-time Fellow for the Stanford Storytelling Project, an arts program within the Oral Communication Program. The initial appointment will be for the 2014-15 academic year, with the possibility of re-appointment and the salary range is $50-59k, depending on start date. Applications will be accepted through September 23rd, 2014.

The SSP Fellow’s major duties include developing and teaching courses, designing and delivering workshops, training SSP student staff, mentoring students, and collaborating with faculty to design storytelling course components. The Fellow will also help develop and manage the SSP’s radio program, State of the Human, and help lead its weekly craft workshop, StoryLab.
