Transom Announces New Traveling Workshops

Transom.org has announced that it will begin offering week-long Traveling Workshops as an alternative to their signature two-month-long Story Workshop. Applications are now open for the first round of Traveling Workshops, which begin this June in Catalina Island, CA. From the Organizer When we started up our eight-week-long, career-launching Transom Story Workshops, lots of people asked if we could do some introductory training in audio narrative in shorter bursts, and maybe in other locations besides Cape Cod. The answer is finally, yes. Starting this summer, we will offer Transom Traveling Workshops in various parts of the country. These are short, one-day to one-week workshops suited to the needs of our collaborative hosts. Check here for all the details. Innovative Interactivity Offering Interactive Design Workshop

Innovative Interactivity has announced they will be putting on an Interactive Workshop to be held in May 2013. The workshop is designed for graphic designers and storytellers who want to learn how to build interactive graphics but have not had the time or training to do so. The intensive and hands-on bootcamp is project based and students learn HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript(jQuery) in five days. This intensive, five day, project-based learning environment, taught by top professionals and University of North Carolina professors will teach both technical skills and how to design for an interactive user experience. Be inspired by the special presentations from professionals from NBC, The Washington Post and Digital First Media. Participants will be immersed in the languages, tools and concepts of interactive design all while on the beautiful campus of UNC Chapel Hill.
